The album "Live 2022" is a new production of Tember Ensemble with the participation of guest musicians.

This research/production project aims to explore how "transcultural electroacoustic music" may develop, intending to create new electroacoustic pieces exploring innovative sounds and compositional possibilities focusing on improvisation, different instrument sounds, and traditional melodies in combination with live-electronics.

The album has four tracks recorded live during our two concerts at BLO-Atelier in Berlin in 2022. Each set/track has a different instrumentation and combination of other musical cultures/instruments with live-electronics. All the tracks are improvised and live recorded, based on a free interpretation of the Kurdish maqams, Iranian and Arabic melodies, and contemporary music ideas, which are minimally rearranged and mixed afterward.

The first concert was a new performance of our previous album, "Land Scape," played differently in a quartet formation. The concert opening was a set/track called "The emergence of the unknown," played in a trio session. (Santur/Flute, Percussion, and Live-Electronics)

The second concert started with a duo piece for Oud & Live-Electronics, and the second part was a trio session (Tanbur/voice, Percussion, and Live-Electronics) called "Leyli."

It is a pleasure to release this album on such an important day, 8th March, International Women's Day.
